i did it. wow. i completed my first 365 photography project. i am thrilled with myself for sticking with it and getting a photo each and every day. although some photos are clearly better than others, i am thrilled with the outcome. i almost prefer the variety of photos, because it is a subtle remind of what went on that day — busy at work = camera photo, took/had the time to take a nice shot = dslr. :)
i do not want to get all sappy and cliche, but i have to thank my family and friends for their support, especially preston for really encouraging me to stick with it and help give me suggestions for my daily photo.
i am still up in the air on whether or not i will do another 365 project right away, but in the meantime, i setup kikigoesblogging. i hope to make at least a weekly post of interesting, random things, including photos. if i do another 365 project, i am thinking of making it themed. maybe have weekly themes i have to stick to? food for thought.
anyway, here is to my final post on kikigoesblogging’s first 365 project. thank you again for all of your support, and even to those that randomly looked at my photos!

day 365. 01.04.2011. pres and i went out to dinner with our friends, greg and amie, friday night. they have been raving about hash house in hillcrest and us having never been there, we decided to give it a try! it is well-known for their breakfast, but dinner was equally as delicious. the portions were huge (MASSIVE!!!) and the food was great. we could have all easily split two entrees instead of four - lesson learned. afterward, we went to see no strings attached, which was hilarious. such a fun night with friends, and a nice note to end my first 365 project on. :)
day 364. 01.03.2011. after work today, i went over to la jolla cove to snap a few photos before my boot camp workout class. the lighting was beautiful and there were tons of people around, mostly tourists. i practically blended right in with my camera and began snapping away. i got a lot of great shots today (woohoo!), but i really liked this one. these women stood here for a few minutes, chatting about their days and it instanatly reminded me of something my sister and i. cannot wait to plan my next trip up to visit her!

day 363. 01.02.2011. i was on my way to my boot camp class after work, when i spotted this adorable pup hanging out the rear window of a neighboring car. we were all stopped at a very, very long light, so i quickly pulled out my camera and got a shot of him/her through one of my side mirrors. so precious!
day 362. 02.01.2011. tuesday went much more swimmingly than monday. month-end at work was pretty hectic, but we had a great january - nice way to kick off 2011!
day 360. 01.30.2011. my parents and i had breakfast at richard walker’s pancake house that was amazing!! afterward, we went to look at a few units in the marina district. as we were about to get on the road to head back up to north county, we took rocky for a little stroll. look how adorable he is all clean and fluffy?! melts my heart he is so cute!
day 359. 01.29.2011. after my boot camp workout this morning, i met india&jed for fish tacos at the brigantine - delicious! we hung out together for a bit, before i headed over to meet up with my parents. we all ended up getting together later with india’s parents too, and went to dinner at MARKET. the food was excellent, i would definitely recommend it! although, i wasn’t able to get a show of the restaurant while we were there, i snuck in this one at my parents’ house. i’ve always loved this statue/figurine on one of their outdoor tables.
day 358. 01.28.2011. happy bday, preston! the big 2-5!!! he flew to vegas today to meet up with friends to celebrate his birthday. i decided to go meet up with some friends for happy hour that night too, and ended up meeting this little guy, blue! he was so well-behaved and had just learned how to shake! we became besties quickly, needless to say. :)
day 357. 01.27.2011. sorry for yet another afternoon sky photo - i’m trying to get out of this rut, but it’s tough!
day 356. 01.26.2011. finally made it midway through the week! this week has been pretty hectic - just lots of changes going on right now. anyyyyhooo… i was only able to snap this photo of the sky while leaving work today. the sky was really that radiant - it was stunning.
day 355. 01.25.2011. i did not end up going to my parents’ after work today, because my mom had a work event. i decided to make my way to my favorite beach spot after work and snap some pics of the sunset.
